Enhancing your skater's development...
with the right

Equipment.

An i-Sk8r program initiative.

Providing you with extensive information on this site is certainly one aspect I can help you with, however - providing the right equipment is another. That's where the professionals in the field step in... and I am more than happy to lead you in the right direction..

--------------------------------------------

Does your club have funds they want to spend?

If your Club has been fundraising, or you have funds that have been allocated through application of a special grant, or otherwise... Then you may wish to consider using the funds to benefit the skaters and coaches in your rink.

Training tools for skaters are available. Where? You might ask? Well, in this section I will be adding links to companies that specifically deal with the needs of skaters. That way, you can contact them directly and consider the options they have available. All equipment I use throughout the monitoring in this program will be found in the links provided, that way, if you are interested in purchasing anything, you will know where to get it.

Should we be using off skate equipment?

Most definitely. The one advantage the best skaters in the world have over many is, the access to good equipment and knowledge to support it. Many of the items I have purchased come with instructional manuals or DVD's, which enhance your ability to use the equipment and most certainly, provide additional knowledge for both the Skaters, Coaches, and Club's who purchase them.

How do we get funding?

You can start by speaking to your club rep. Ask them about any applications they may know of for development grants via the State or National body. Your local council may also have access to grants available to promote 'safety in sport'. Tell them about your plan to develop the sport and you may be surprised with how supportive they will be! Good luck.

Where and how do we get such items?

I have listed a few companies below who specifically deal with skating equipment. More links will be added as different materials are incorporated in to the program. I recommend them highly and have found them to be a huge benefit to the skaters I am working with, now and in the past.
