Dec. 29/05 All Precision and Show listings/placings completed.
Apologies for the extended delay in adding the results for the Precision and show events, both of which were spectacular - especially the show groups and the winning team 'Animal Instinct'. Wow.. And for the many who wrote and complained, apologies also. I haven't been able to located the results sheets until now as they were not added to the official site either.
Dec. 08/05 DVD's from the world meet - PAL & NTSC
The footage from the world championships can be all yours simply by contact the Official staff who filmed the event. The DVD's are great quality, well priced and were filmed using two cameras, giving you multiple angles and better viewing. Unfortunately the Figures are not available as they were not filmed. All other events are ready for purchase. Please contact Max at Digital Image via email here
Dec. 04/05 Championships complete.
While I could not provide up to the minute updates and results as per 2004, the info got online in the end and thanks to those who wrote in with thanks etc. When I'm back I'll start adding some images etc. Hopefully that will be soon!
Nov. 23/05 Round 1 to RIVA.. + Romano takes home the gold..
The MEN'S short program last night was SPECTACULAR to say the least with outstanding performances from at least 85% of the field. Roberto Riva skated a flawless program, including his triple lutz-loop-triple loop-loop-triple loop combination to snatch the lead ahead of D'Alisera. The skate off was intense and the crowd went absolutely wild for the three Italian men. Andrea Barbieri raised the bar early in the field taking the lead with one of the highest triple loops I have ever seen! Mariano from Argentina skated a great short that was a hit with the crowd, leaving him in 5th ahead of Segovia and behind Arriola. In the ladies, Romano took the floor, opened with triple loop and then blitzed the competition, which only appeared to be between her and Sanchez, the rest of the field were leaps and bounds behind. Esposti and Zanforlin held the lead and took home the gold in the pairs with Italy 1, 2 and 3... In the O.D, Bornati took an unexpected fall right at the end of their program that has seen them remain in 3rd, its now a case of who wins the Freedance, will win - it is that close! Tonight is going to be amazing and the excitement will be felt in the air, RIVA, D'Alisera and Baribieri are certainly the stars of this show!
Nov. 25/05 Seniors up and running..
Last night proved to be a show stopper with the battle between Tanja Romano (current world champion) and Spain's technical master of the triple jumps, Laura Sanchez, who opened with a brilliant double axel, followed by an awesome Triple flip-loop-euler-triple salchow combination.. and if that wasn't enough, an amazing triple lutz followed that! Sanchez was on fire and while she skated 2nd, she still held first place until Romano took the floor who missed th opening double axel and completed a triple flip, and a triple toe-loop-triple toe combination. Her program was spectacualr, choreographed by Sandro Guerra, and she held the lead 5 judges to 2. Mayra Ramos of Brazil was the surprise package who blitzed the competition and came in 3rd. Argentina's former world junior champ, Noemi Coronel graced her way in to 5th after a few problems in the warm up with the floor (who isnt having trouble with the floor). The top ten is made up of a mix of skaters from Italy, Spain, Brazil, Argentina and the USA with Abagail Burris slipping in to 8th after a strong performance. Andrea Barbieri and Irene Nardo (personal faves) opened the event with one of the highlights of evening, their program was amazing and are holding a strong 2nd. Current world champs Esposti and Zanforlin hold the number one spot despite one judge opting to place them third behind the two other Italian teams. Marzocchini and Fabbri will be pushing Barbieri and Nardo for 2nd, the battle will be on. There was another highlight in the pairs with the Colombian team of Juan Lemus and Carolina Otalora skating their butts off and holding a strong 5th ahead of Americans and German teams. US Team Orcutt and Hines is holding 4th. The mens event is tonight, the one we have all been waiting for along with the ladies long program. In the men's figures yesterday afternoon, Kyle Turley was the surprise winner ahead of multiple world champion, Frank Albiez who was easily leading the first figure. Turley is also contesting the dance event. See the updated results in the Senior section with all short program and figure results to date.
Nov. 23/05 Mens Figures.
The Mens figure event is about to commence and the results should be online soon..
Nov. 22/05 Slow updates..
Updates are still some what of a problem, being the access via this cafe isn't allowing me to upload correctly, so please be patient while the results come through! Anyways, the Senior meet is up and running and the Ladies figures was contested this morning with Cristina Giuliamini taking the gold. Meanwhile, back at the training venue things are heating up between Luca, Riva and a strong field of guys all vying for the top 5 or 6 positions. More on that soon!
Nov. 21/05 Tragedy hits US Team..
Tragedy struck the US Team and members of the Peck family on Saturday evening following the competition when the young brother of US Pairs skater, Anthony Peck, was struck down by a car, and killed, when walking with his family back to the hotel. Tears were shared with the family members who were present at the medal presentation lastnight when Anthony courageously took the stand to accept his bronze medal. A minute of silence was held in memory of the young boy who was taken so suddenly. Our deepest sympathies to all the family members, US Team and friends.
Nov. 19/05 APOLOGIES FOR LONG DELAY...
I have to apologize immediately for the LONG delay between updates, but it has been impossible here with access! However, after much deliberation and great service at this net cafe we are up and running and i have loads of results about to come online!! Stay tuned! Check the Junior updates..
Nov. 11/05 Skaters out..  and in..
Unfortunately, two inline skaters have withdrawn from the event and will not be replaced by reserve skaters. Sean Arisco (USA) and Leo Plisko (CRO) will not be skating. Brittany Stewart has also withdrawn from the Junior ladies freeskating and will be replaced by Brooke Fries from the USA. Further more, from Argentina there appears to be more uncertainty as to whether or not Daniel Ariolla will make it to Rome, already Noemi Coronel and Luis De Mattia have recently announced they will no longer be attending.
Nov. 03/05 Updates..
Thanks to all the people who have been sending in the athlete listings. Already the numbers are climbing, pre the release of any official registrations, which is fantastic! Keep them coming if you have not already sent them through!
Oct. 25/05 Athlete listings..
Prior to arriving in Roma, I am trying to update the athlete listings (to save time!) within the event schedules located in this mini site. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows of any Official National team listings. Please [email]
Sept. 10/05 The countdown begins..
The World Championships are less than 10wks away from the starting date and it is certainly shaping up to be one hell of an event, with the organizing committee in Italy going to every length to make this the biggest, and best world meet, ever! Keep up to date by visiting this area with jaysonsutcliffe.com and by visiting the official site.
Athletes: Submit your profile here in order to gain exposure during the meet.
Promoting our skaters is of the greatest importance and with 1.4million hits on this site during the world championships in 2004, the perfect way for the world to 'get to know' the stars on wheels, is by having access to a profile of every skater competing at the event.  Therefore, I have set up an area where SKATERS who will be going to ROME to compete, can freely enter their details, which will then in turn create a mini profile page that will be available for visitors to view as they view the results. Please encourage all athletes you know to update [here]
More updates soon...
