Nov 28/04 Championships come to an end.. THE END..
That's it for another year... The world meet has come to a close, the competitive side of it at least. The champions exhibitions will be the last time the selected athletes will take to the floor in Fresno.. The dinner party will close the championships and skaters who make up the selections for the 2005 World Games will be announced..
Don't forget,
Celebrating the completion of their brand new documentary about artistic roller skating, 'Figures & Loops' - Walter & David, of Boss Films will be having a special screening of the film on Sunday the 28th Nov at the Radisson Ballroom at 6:30pm.. Don't miss it! Below: a few screen caps from the doco..

Nov 28/04 Luca crowned King..
Luca D'Alisera has retained both of his world rankings for the Men's FS and the Men's combined event. Both events have only been won in the Men's category for senior in 1995, 1984 and 1980 in the past 25years. An outstanding weekend's work for Luca. Tanja Romano also achieved the same fete this week, cementing Italy's strong hold on most events, including the Dance, Pairs and Freeskating in the Senior championships. Nov 28/04 Final results ... Last day of competition
The last set of results are yet to be added, however we can confirm that Luca D'Alisera has won the men's free, Andrea Barbieri 2nd and Daniel Ariolla 3rd. Marco Bornati & Monica Coffele have won the dance..
Nov 27/04 Three Quarters of a million...  and counting!!
The hunger for ROLLER SPORTS is certainly out there - and the hits on this site are testament.. The hits on this site have now sky rocketed to 750,463 during the world meet.. Only last week I reported a new high of more than 350,000 but that has since doubled.. The support here is phenomenal and its great for our sport.. I think we will crack the 1mill mark by Nov 30..
Nov 27/04 Supporting Slade - National wide..
Help celebrate Australia's SILVER MEDAL won by KRISTEN SLADE in the Inline Ladies figure skating, simply by downloading and printing the full color promotional poster celebrating her win. It would be great if all the Artistic clubs around Australia printed at least one poster each and pinned it on your notice board... thus spreading the news and showing that our athletes are also competitive amongst the worlds top rankings.. It's a great way to promote our athletes and the sport.. To download the PDF of this poster, simply click here..

Nov 27/04 Luca the greek... takes control..
Luca D'Alisera has wowed audiences in Fresno with a spectacular short program and a perfect score of 10.0, easily holding first place. Luca was not the only skater to receive a 10.0 on the night, Tanja Romano proved yet again, she is the best female athlete in the house and retained her world number one ranking. We are eagerly awaiting full results.. More soon.
Nov 27/04 Josh Rhoads set to .... Kill Bill!
jrkb.jpg (17533 bytes)It doesn't take much to work out that Josh Rhoads (USA) is obviously skating to Kill Bill. On the hero board there are loads of messages for Josh (favorite to many) and some have included tag line of 'Kill Bill'... undoubtedly, we are in for one hell of a performance from him, the music from the KB soundtrack is amazing.. and who better to interpret it, but none other than a master of impression Mr Rhoads himself.. There are many out there waiting for 'that day'... when we see you on the podium Josh.. Good luck J, you can do it... you can Kill Bill!!
Nov 27/04 Online Videos direct from Fresno..
The fantastic ArtisticWorldCup.org is bringing the world meet to the 'world' with daily updates on their site. Franco Culcasi is in Fresno with his team and they are loading videos of performances and interviews to watch on to the site daily.. AMAZING! Go here to catch the latest including TANJA ROMANO'S amazing short program.. [here] Although its in Italian, just look for the name and click..
Nov 26/04 Romano takes the lead..
Tanja Romano (Italy) has taken a grand lead in the ladies short program ahead of Junior World champ 2003, Noemi Coronel of Argentina. The top ten is full of big names including Laura Sanchez, Patricia Stolzenberg, Sonia Traversa (3rd), Melissa Linsalata and Nina Zollner to name a few. The long program will prove equally as exciting.
Earlier in the day, Frank Albiez (Germany) won the mens figure event ahead of Pietro Mazzetti of Italy and Daniel Muller, also of Germany. Luca D'Alisera finished in a very strong 6th position which lines him up perfectly for the combined medal if he is to win the freestyle, again..  More results from Day 2 of the Senior meet

Kristen is no stranger to the world scene, having ranked amongst the Top 5 on four occasions since 1995 in the Junior world rankings for roller. Her passion for the sport never ceased and in 2003 she embarked on a mission to take the world by storm on Inline - in 2004 it was realized, and with a world NO.2 ranking..
